This video teaches you how to stretch and massage your tongue. Heard of the descriptions “tongue-tied” or “bite your tongue”? Your tongue is an organ that responds very much to your emotional state. And can embody unexpressed and pent up tension. As you massage your tongue, the touch and pressure of your fingers can provide feedback to you about its condition, where tension is held and where potential issues lay. If your tongue is painful to the touch and pressure, it is not at its ideal state. When you massage it and breathe into it and release that tension, the pain goes away. And you regain its range of movement.
For these exercises, use a small thin towel to allow you to grip onto your tongue and to absorb saliva that flows out as you massage your tongue.
