Ice massage is a great way to cool down inflamed areas while introducing some therapeutic massage and stretching.
An important aspect of ice massage is lengthening the tissue, or stretching it, while applying pressure with the ice. This allows you to maximally effect the tissue at hand.
Perform this for 5-7 minutes, wait 15 minutes, and then use an ice pack on the are for another 15.
